Bee Access
Turning a legacy brand Into a digital growth engine.
The Situation
Bee Access, a trusted manufacturer of suspended access equipment, grew a loyal customer base through its distributor network. Following its acquisition by Canopy Brands, Bee set aggressive growth targets in North America’s $300M suspended access market.
But its outdated digital presence created friction. Customers struggled with product discovery, documentation, and technical support. Bee partnered with Six06 Strategy to build a modern platform that unified its catalog, empowered distributors, and positioned the brand for long-term success.

4 Strategic Tactics
Tactic 01/04
Understand the audiences and surface CX opportunities
To create a digital experience aligned with customer needs, Six06 conducted in-depth research with Bee’s primary audience—access equipment rental providers—along with secondary and tertiary segments. Through qualitative interviews we uncovered preferences, motivations, and pain points, then paired each segment with customer experience opportunities. This synthesis revealed where design, brand, and UX improvements could deliver the most impact, creating a clear roadmap for transformation.
Tactic 02/04
Create a customer-centered information architecture
Working with Bee Access’s marketing team, Six06 led collaborative workshops to design a new IA model that organized customers by lifecycle stage. This structure informed a reimagined navigation system, making Bee’s extensive catalog easier to browse and positioning the site as a best-in-class digital resource.
Tactic 03/04
Unify product information for easier evaluation
With more than 500 products in the catalog, Bee needed clear, consistent, and accurate product data to simplify evaluation. Six06 standardized descriptions, added filters and faceted navigation, and ensured each product included the same supporting documentation. The result was a streamlined catalog that made it faster for customers to find, compare, and decide.
Tactic 04/04
Offer a technical document repository
Bee customers rely on detailed specs and product data in the field and on the jobsite. Six06 built a centralized resource hub with drawings, manuals, videos, and technical documents, giving customers instant access to the information they need to work safely and efficiently.
Develop digital tools to extend value
To strengthen engagement after purchase, Six06 created jobsite-ready calculators that solved real customer problems. By redesigning Bee’s counterweight calculator and adding a voltage calculator, we gave customers practical tools that built loyalty and encouraged ongoing interaction with the brand.
